TBM Group

Since 1946, TBM Group has been one of the leading players in the Italian textile industry, synonymous with textile expertise, manufacturing quality, and industrial vision. A family-run and independent company deeply rooted in the heart of the Varese region, in Besnate, it has built its identity on product excellence, continuous research, and a fully vertical supply chain.

An integrated, 100% Italian supply chain: traceability, sustainability, and long-term relationships with customers

TBM Group is among the few companies in Europe to manage the entire production cycle in-house: from design to spinning, from weaving to finishing. All processes take place in-house, guaranteeing total quality control combined with extraordinary customization capabilities and a genuine ethical commitment.

Through its brands – Borghi 1819, Tessitura di Albizzate, TFM, TFM Denim, and TBM – the group operates with the main international fashion markets, offering high-end fabrics for men and women.

Commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability

For years, TBM Group has been investing in technology, skills, and sustainability, reducing environmental impact with photovoltaic systems, optimized processes, and a short, transparent, and responsible supply chain. A balance between innovation and roots that translates into durable, authentic, and contemporary fabrics.

TFM
the noble soul of the group.

TFM is the sartorial heart of TBM Group.

A brand born to bring a precise, conscious, and cultured vision to the world of cotton, linen, and denim. Each collection dresses a contemporary wardrobe with refined and versatile garments, from unstructured shirts, clean trousers, urban trenches, to multifaceted outerwear.

With TFM, material becomes storytelling.

Every fabric is conceived as a means of expression, with a clear stylistic imprint and impeccable construction.

Here, style and expertise do not chase each other: they merge.

The value of the TFM collection

Among the noble fibers shaping the TFM collection, corduroys and moleskins represent one of the finest expressions of our expertise — a textile heritage reimagined for the contemporary world. The highest expressions our know-how.

Cords & Moleskins: corduroy according to TFM

The FW26 capsule “Cords & Moleskins” revisits two timeless staples – corduroy and moleskin - with a modern and versatile approach, elevating them to a new stylistic dimension. “Cords & Moleskins” celebrates the value of the material, the richness of the texture, and the precision of the cut.

Not just fabrics, but surfaces rich in character, where TBM Group’s technical heritage meets a refined, contemporary, and international aesthetic.

A good corduroy can be seen.

But a TFM corduroy is felt.

Next-generation classics

Corduroy is not just a fabric, it is an art.

And TFM interprets it with unique, in-house expertise. Every cord and moleskin in the capsule is the result of an integrated and controlled supply chain, crafted with sartorial precision that enhances its feel, look, and performance.

“Our cut makes the difference.”

This level of control of the supply chain ensures consistent quality, creative freedom and exceptional versatility of use.

HOW

Weaving
the foundation of the fabric

Warp and weft are interlaced on looms.

Corduroy

special constructions create "channels" that will guide the cutting of the ribs

Moleskin

satin type constructions with long floats ideal for brushing

Cutting
(corduroy only)

Blades run through the channels to open the pile and form the ribs; custom patterns are also possible.

Brushing
(corduroy only)

Lifts and aligns the pile, giving uniform softness and sheen

Brushing + Shearing (moleskin only)

Brushing
cylinders covered with teasels or wires pull out weft fibres; TFM's extra long line (over 200 raising rollers) ensures an even, compact surface without compromising the fabric's strength.

Shearing
trims the surface for an even, pleasant hand feel.

Dyeing & finishing

Piece, pigment or indigo dyeing, along with functional finishes such as WR (Water Repellent).
Typically Corduroy & Moleskin are treated with additional softening and tumbling to achieve their trademark fluid, rounded hand.
